Quick No-Knead Bread

 INGREDIENTS:

sliced loaf of baked bread

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp dry active yeast (1 pkg)
  • 1 1/4 cup warm water
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Combine all dry ingredients
  2. Add water 
  3. Stir ingredients with a wooden spoon or hands to form the dough. Make sure the ingredients are combined well.
  4. Cover dough and let rise for 1 hour
  5. Preheat oven to 450 F with dutch oven and lid inside
  6. On parchment paper, shape with flour, let sit covered for 20 min
  7. Transfer into dutch oven
  8. Bake for 30 min with lid on. Remove lid and bake 5-10 minutes more until golden brown.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
  • You can substitute 1 cup of all-purpose flour for wheat flour to make wheat bread
  • You can add 2 tsp garlic powder to make the bread a garlic bread, as well as any other dried herb flavors
